Exploring Shape and Space

Students have been exploring Shape and Space during a math investigation.  Particularly, students have been classifying and analysing 2D shapes using geometric vocabulary.

Here, students are sorting the following shapes into a rather complex Venn diagram according to the following attributes:

• Is it a pentagon?
• Is it concave?
• Does it have parallel lines?
• Does it have mirror symmetry?
• Are all sides equal?
